WINTER SPRINGS —
Firefighters said they were trying to figure out how a fire started Sunday morning at a home in Seminole County.
The fire started in the attic of a home on Wedgewood Drive , in Winter Springs, around 4:30 a.m., according to Winter Springs fire officials.
Crews arrived to find flames coming through the roof of the home, and firefighters had to call a second alarm.
Everyone inside evacuated the home safely, including a family cat, firefighters said.
The fire was brought under control before 5 a.m.
No one was injured, but the roof was heavily damaged, but the cause of the fire was not immediately determind. Winter Springs fire officials said the state fire marshal has been notified.
